Accessibility Guidelines
The General Secretariat of the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC) is committed to making its portal as accessible as possible to users with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments (Persons of Determination).
The SLC Dubai Legislation Portal (SLC Portal) is accessible via the web browser on computers and mobile devices.
The SLC Portal is compatible with the popular and updated browsers such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
The following steps will help Persons of Determination use and navigate through the SLC Portal conveniently.
For the visually challenged users:
- Click on the (A+ and A-) icons in the upper right corner of the webpage to increase or decrease the text size.
- Click on the ReadSpeaker icon in the upper right corner to listen to the content.
- In order to listen to a specific part of the content, simply select the text and click on the speaker icon that will appear.
For users who are colour blind:
Click on the (Eye Icon) in the upper right corner of the webpage to be able to view the SLC Portal content clearly in basic black, white, and yellow colour scheme.
For users with reading difficulties:
- Click on the ReadSpeaker icon in the upper right corner to listen to the content.
- In order to listen to a specific part of the content, simply select the text and click on the speaker icon that will appear.
For persons who cannot use the mouse:
- Press the "Tab" key on the left side of the keyboard for sequential navigation of headers and other key elements.
For users who cannot open PDF files:
- You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free by visiting the official website https://get.adobe.com/reader/ , alternatively, press the HTML icon corresponding to most PDF files which you can find below the name of the file.
For mobile devices users:
- The SLC Portal can easily be navigated through on various mobile devices.
