Repealing

Law No. (5) of 1994 Establishing the Dubai Transport Corporation^{^[1]}

We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai,

After perusal of:

Law No. (5) of 1994 Establishing the Dubai Transport Corporation and its amendments;

Law No. (3) of 2003 Establishing the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai;

Law No. (17) of 2005 Establishing the Roads and Transport Authority and its amendments;

Law No. (9) of 2006 Affiliating the Dubai Transport Corporation to the Roads and Transport Authority; and

Executive Council Resolution No. (20) of 2007 Establishing the Dubai Taxi Corporation of the Roads and Transport Authority,

Do hereby issue this Law.

Repeals

Article (1)

The above-mentioned Law No. (5) of 1994 is hereby repealed. Any provision in any other legislation will also be repealed to the extent that it contradicts the provisions of this Law.

Succession

Article (2)

The Dubai Transport Corporation established pursuant to the above-mentioned Law No. (5) of 1994 as a public corporation having legal personality and financial and administrative autonomy is hereby succeeded by the Dubai Taxi Corporation established pursuant to the above-mentioned Executive Council Resolution No. (20) of 2007.

Commencement and Publication

Article (3)

This Law comes into force on the day on which it is issued, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
