Amending
Law No. (6) of 1992
Establishing
the Judicial Council[1]

We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai,
After perusal of:
Law No. (6) of 1992 Establishing the Judicial
Council and its amendments,
Do hereby issue this Law.
Article (2)
of the above-mentioned Law No. (6) of 1992 will be superseded by the following:
A Judicial Council will be established in the
Emirate of Dubai and will be comprised of:
1.
His Highness
Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as chairman;
2.
the Director
of His Highness The Ruler’s Court, as vice chairman;
3.
the Attorney
General, as member;
4.
the Director
of the Dubai Courts, as member;
5.
the Head of
the Court of Cassation, as member;
6.
the Head of
the Court of Appeal, as member
7.
the Head of
the Court of First Instance, as member;
8.
the Director
General of the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department, as member; and
9.
the Director
of the Judicial Inspection Division, as member.
This
Law comes into force on the day on which it is issued, and will be published in
the Official Gazette.
