Executive Council Resolution No. (6) of 2024
Reconstituting the
Supreme Urban Planning Committee in
the Emirate of Dubai[1]

We, Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai,
Chairman of the Executive Council,
After perusal of:
Law No. (16) of 2023
Concerning Urban Planning in the Emirate of Dubai (the “Law”);
Law No. (26) of 2023
Concerning the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai;
Decree No. (1) of 2023
Concerning Governance of the Councils/ Boards and Committees Affiliated to the
Government of Dubai;
Resolution No. (39) of
2021 Concerning the Commissioner General for the Infrastructure, Urban
Planning, and Well-being Pillar;
The Order of 1961
Establishing the Dubai Municipality;
Executive Council
Resolution No. (18) of 2021 Forming the Supreme Urban Planning Committee in the
Emirate of Dubai; and
Executive Council
Resolution No. (55) of 2022 Appointing a New Member to the Supreme Urban
Planning Committee in the Emirate of Dubai,
Do hereby issue this
Resolution.
The Supreme Urban Planning Committee (the “SUPC”)
formed pursuant to the above-mentioned Executive Council Resolution No. (18) of
2021 is hereby reconstituted under the chairmanship of His Excellency the
Commissioner General for the Infrastructure, Urban Planning, and Well-being
Pillar; and with the membership of:
1.
the
Director General of the Dubai Municipality, as vice chairman;
2.
the
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Electricity and
Water Authority PJSC, as Member;
3.
the
Chairman of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation in Dubai, as Member;
4.
the
Director General of the Dubai Land Department, as Member;
5.
the
Director General of the Dubai Development Authority, as Member;
6.
the
Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Energy, as Member;
7.
the
Chief Executive Officer of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, as Member;
8.
the
Chief Executive Officer of the Planning and Governance Sector at the Dubai
Municipality, as Member;
9.
the
Chief Executive Officer of the Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector at the
Roads and Transport Authority, as Member; and
10. Dr. Salem Al Shafiei, expert in
urban planning, as Member.
The SUPC will exercise the duties and powers
assigned to it under the Law, the resolutions issued in pursuance thereof, and
other legislation in force in the Emirate of Dubai.
The Dubai Municipality will provide financial,
administrative, and technical support to the SUPC to enable it to perform its
duties under the Law, the resolutions issued in pursuance thereof, and other
legislation in force in the Emirate of Dubai.
All Government Entities and other entities
concerned with the urban master plan in the Emirate of Dubai must fully
cooperate with the SUPC and its sub-committees and work teams, and provide the
data, information, statistics, studies, and documents as requested and deemed
necessary by the SUPC to enable it to perform its duties under the Law, the
resolutions issued in pursuance thereof, and other legislation in force in the
Emirate of Dubai.
The Chairman of the SUPC will issue the
resolutions required for the implementation of the provisions of this
Resolution.
This Resolution supersedes the above-mentioned
Executive Council Resolution No. (18) of 2021 and Executive Council Resolution
No. (55) of 2022. Any provision in any other resolution is hereby repealed to
the extent that it contradicts the provisions of this Resolution.
This Resolution comes into force on the day on
which it is issued, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
