Amending Decree No. (35) of 2021

Designating the Head of the Local Judiciary in the

Emirate of Dubai for the Purposes of Implementing Federal Legislation^{^[1]}

We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai,

After perusal of:

Law No. (19) of 2024 Regulating Law Enforcement Capacity in the Emirate of Dubai; and

Decree No. (35) of 2021 Designating the Head of the Local Judiciary in the Emirate of Dubai for the Purposes of Implementing Federal Legislation,

Do hereby issue this Decree.

Superseded Article

Article (1)

Article (2) of the above-mentioned Decree No. (35) of 2021 is hereby superseded by the following:

Delegation of Powers

Article (2)

The Chairman of the Judicial Council of the Emirate of Dubai may:

1. delegate the powers to issue resolutions and take actions and measures, as assigned to the head of the local judiciary under the federal legislation in force in the Emirate of Dubai, to the President of the Dubai Courts, the Attorney General of the Emirate of Dubai, or any of the heads of Government Entities in the Emirate of Dubai;

2. delegate the power to grant and revoke law enforcement capacity for recording the acts committed in breach of the provisions of the federal legislation in force in the Emirate of Dubai to the heads of Government Entities. Law enforcement capacity will be granted and revoked in accordance with the provisions of the above-mentioned Law No. (19) of 2024, the resolutions issued in pursuance thereof, and other legislation in force in the Emirate of Dubai; and

3. issue the resolutions required for the implementation of applicable federal legislation within the powers vested in the head of the local judiciary under said legislation.

Commencement and Publication

Article (2)

This Decree comes into force on the day on which it is issued, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
