Approving
the
Admission
Ticket Prices for the Etihad Museum and Shindagha Museum[1]

The
Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority,
After
perusal of:
Law
No. (6) of 2008 Establishing the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (the “DCAA”);
Law
No. (14) of 2009 Concerning the Pricing of Government Services in the Emirate
of Dubai and its amendments;
Law
No. (1) of 2016 Concerning the Financial Regulations of the Government of
Dubai, its Implementing Bylaw, and their amendments;
Decree
No. (16) of 2019 Appointing the Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts
Authority;
Executive
Council Resolution No. (116) of 2023 Approving the Organisational Structure of
the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority; and
The
Department of Finance approval letter Ref. DOF/OUT/2022/0002105), dated 26
August 2022,
Does
hereby issue this Resolution.
a.
The admission ticket prices for the Etihad Museum and Shindagha
Museum are hereby prescribed as set out in Schedule (1) attached to this
Resolution.
b.
The admission ticket prices for the Etihad Museum and Shindagha
Museum will be reduced for tourism companies that purchase five thousand
(5,000) or more tickets, as set out in Schedule (2) attached to this
Resolution.
The
following categories are hereby exempted from payment of the admission ticket
prices prescribed herein:
1.
children under the age of five (5) years;
2.
persons with disabilities, accompanied by one (1) escort;
3.
senior UAE citizens; and
4.
holders of valid membership cards issued by the International
Council of Museums (ICOM).
The
admission ticket sale proceeds generated pursuant to this Resolution will be
paid to the Public Treasury of the Government of Dubai.
The
Chief Executive Officer of the Museums and Heritage Sector must, in
coordination with the concerned organisational units at the DCAA, take the
required action for the implementation of this Resolution.
This
Resolution comes into force on the day on which it is issued, and will be
published in the Official Gazette.
