Decree No. (55) of 2021

Forming the

Board of Directors of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority PJSC [1]

We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai,

After perusal of:

Law No. (27) of 2021 Concerning the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (“DEWA”),

Do hereby issue this Decree.

Formation of the Board of Directors

Article (1)

a.     The Board of Directors of DEWA is hereby formed under the chairmanship of His Excellency Matar Humaid Al Tayer, and with the membership of:

1.     His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer;     

2.     Mr. Hilal Khalfan bin Dhaher;                                      

3.     Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Hashemi;                                 

4.     Mr. Khalfan Ahmed Harib;                                         

5.     Mr. Majid Hamad Al Shamsi;                                      

6.     Mr. Obaid Saeed bin Mes’har;                                   

7.     Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Sharid;                                       

8.     Mr. Nabil Abdul Rahman Arif;                   

9.     Mr. Mohammed Juma AlSuwaidi; and

10.  Dr. Moza Shaiban Suwaidan.             

b.    Where the Board of Directors of DEWA is not reconstituted upon expiry of the term of membership of the members mentioned in paragraph (a) of this Article, these members will continue to perform their duties until they are reappointed or replaced by new members.

Publication and Commencement

Article (2)

This Decree will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on the day on which it is published.
