Executive Council Resolution No. (1) of 2018

Approving Fees for Certain Services Provided by the

Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services[1]

We, Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council,

After perusal of:

Law No. (3) of 2003 Establishing the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai;

Law No. (14) of 2009 Concerning the Pricing of Government Services in the Emirate of Dubai and its amendments;

Law No. (11) of 2013 Concerning Health Insurance in the Emirate of Dubai;

Law No. (12) of 2015 Concerning the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (the “DCAS”);

Law No. (1) of 2016 Concerning the Financial Regulations of the Government of Dubai; and

Executive Council Resolution No. (2) of 2016 Concerning Charging Fees for Transporting Casualties of Traffic Accidents,

Do hereby issue this Resolution.

Approval of Fees

Article (1)

a.    In return for providing the services stated in Schedule (1) and Schedule (2) attached hereto, the DCAS will collect the fees set out opposite each of such services.

b.    The fees prescribed in Schedule (1) attached hereto will be collected from the insurance company with which the beneficiary is insured; and the beneficiary may not, under any circumstances, be charged any percentage of these fees. Where it is established that the beneficiary is not insured or that his health insurance is expired, ambulance services will be provided to the beneficiary free of charge.

c.     Where an injury results from a traffic accident, the fees prescribed in Schedule (1) attached hereto will not apply. In this case, the fees prescribed in the above-mentioned Executive Council Resolution No. (2) of 2016 will apply.

d.    For the purpose of collecting the fees prescribed in Schedule (2) attached hereto, a part of an hour will be rounded up to a full hour.

Payment of Fees

Article (2)

The fees collected pursuant to this Resolution will be paid to the Public Treasury of the Government of Dubai.

Publication and Commencement

Article (3)

This Resolution will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on the day on which it is published.
