Judicial Council Resolution No. (8) of 2016

Establishing the Execution Court at the Dubai Courts[1]

We, Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of the Judicial Council,

After perusal of:

Federal Law No. (11) of 1992 Issuing the Civil Procedures Code and its amendments; and

Law No. (13) of 2016 Concerning the Judicial Authorities in the Emirate of Dubai,

Do hereby issue this Resolution.

Article (1)

A court named the “Execution Court” is hereby established within the First Instance Courts of the Dubai Courts. The Execution Court will have jurisdiction over execution (of judgements) and will consider legal claims and applications in accordance with the provisions of law.

Article (2)

Judge Abdullah Ahmad Al Kaitoob is hereby appointed president of the Execution Court.

Article (3)

This Resolution comes into force on the day on which it is issued, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
