Council Resolution No. (13) of 2014
Forming
the
Supreme
Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai[1]

We, Hamdan bin Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai,
Chairman of the Executive Council,
After
perusal of:
Law
No. (3) of 2003 Establishing the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai;
Decree
No. (23) of 2014 Establishing the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate
of Dubai (the “SLC”); and
Executive
Council Resolution No. (12) of 2014 Approving the Terms of Reference of the
Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai,
Do hereby issue this Resolution.
a. The SLC established pursuant to the above-mentioned Decree No. (23) of
2014 will be formed under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and with the membership of:
1. Mr. Eissa Abdulfattah Kazim, as vice chairman;
2. Mr. Yusuf Hassan Al Mutawa, as member;
3. Mr. Jamal Hussein Al Sumaiti, as member;
4. Mr. Abdul Qadir Musa Muhammad, as member;
5. Mr. Abdullah Kulaib Al-Tunaiji, as member;
6. Mr. Khalid Hassan Al Mubasheri, as member;
7. Mr. Mohammed Saif Al Maqbali, as member; and
8. The Secretary General of the SLC, as member and rapporteur.
The term of SLC membership
will be three (3) years, renewable for the same period.
b. Where the SLC is not reconstituted upon expiry of the term of
membership of the SLC members mentioned in paragraph (a) of this Article, these
members will continue to perform their duties until they are reappointed or
replaced by new members.
The SLC will have the duties and
powers assigned to it pursuant to the above-mentioned Decree No. (23) of 2014
and Executive Council Resolution No. (12) of 2014.
This
Resolution comes into force on the day on which it is issued, and will be
published in the Official Gazette.
