Approving the Dubai Municipality Fees for

Planning Applications and Billboard Permits[1]

We, Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council,

After perusal of:

The Order of 1961 Establishing the Dubai Municipality;

Law No. (3) of 2003 Establishing the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai;

Law No. (14) of 2009 Concerning the Pricing of Government Services in the Emirate of Dubai;

Law No. (35) of 2009 Concerning Management of the Public Funds of the Government of Dubai and its amendments;

Decree No. (12) of 2006 Transferring Certain Duties and Responsibilities of the Dubai Municipality to the Roads and Transport Authority;

Local Order No. (30) of 1986 Concerning Control of Advertisements in the Emirate of Dubai;

Local Order No. (95) of 1995 Determining the Fees for the Dubai Municipality Survey Services; and

Administrative Order No. (334) of 1986 Issuing the Implementing Bylaw of Local Order No. (30) of 1986 Concerning Control of Advertisements in the Emirate of Dubai and its amendments,

Do hereby issue this Resolution.

Fees

Article (1)

a. In return for processing planning applications and issuing permits for installing billboards along the right of ways as listed in Schedules (1) and (2) attached hereto, the Dubai Municipality will charge the fees indicated opposite each application or permit.

b. For purposes of calculating the fees prescribed in the schedules referred to in paragraph (a) of this Article, a part of a year will be rounded up to a full year, a part of a week will be rounded up to a full week, a part of a day will be rounded up to a full day, and a part of a metre will be rounded up to a full metre.

Additional Fee

Article (2)

a. In addition to the fees prescribed for the billboards listed in items (1) to (13) of Schedule (2) attached hereto, an additional fee of no more than ten per cent (10%) of the fee prescribed for each billboard will be charged. This additional fee will be calculated based on the classification of the district in which the billboard is located.

b. The Director General of the Dubai Municipality will issue a resolution classifying the districts to which this additional fee applies and determining the percentage of this fee.

Repeals

Article (3)

Any provision in any other resolution will be repealed to the extent that it contradicts the provisions of this Resolution.

Publication and Commencement

Article (4)

This Resolution will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on the day on which it is published.
