Establishing
a
Free
Zone at Al Quoz Industrial Area[1]

We,
Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai,
After perusal of:
Law
No. (1) of 1980 Establishing the Jebel Ali Free Zone;
The
Instructions Issued on 7 May 1983 Demarcating the Jebel Ali Free Zone;
Decree
No. (1) of 1985 Establishing the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority;
Law
No. (2) of 1986 Concerning Business Activities in the Jebel Ali Free Zone;
Law
No. (9) of 1992 Concerning the
Establishment of Legal Entities in the Jebel Ali Free Zone; and
Law
No. (2) of 1993 Concerning Factories in the Jebel Ali Free Zone Owned by
Nationals of the United Arab Emirates and Nationals of the Gulf Cooperation
Council Member States,
Do hereby issue this Law.
A free zone is hereby established at Al Quoz Industrial
Area in Dubai. The area and boundaries of the free zone are demarcated on the
plan attached to this Law.
The
free zone referred to in the preceding Article is hereby amalgamated into the
Jebel Ali Free Zone and deemed part thereof. The above-mentioned free zone will
be managed by the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority in
accordance with the laws, regulations, orders, and resolutions in force in the
Jebel Ali Free Zone.
This
Law comes into force on the day on which it is issued, and will be published in
the Official Gazette.
